ANISA MPUNGWE'S COLLECTIONS

Anisa Mpungwe originates from Tanzania. She used origami influences
for her young and playful debut collection at NYFW. She designed bold
electric blue pieces too accentuate the neutral palette. The show was
conceptualised by Africa's pre-eminent creative talents, Jan Malan and
Juanita Daniel of Umzingeli Productions. Based on Ben Okri's "The
Famished Road" the show represents the journey one travels through
Africa on a magical road which has no beginning and no end.
