Glimpses of Tanzania: An aerial view of Mount Kilimanjaro as captured from Ethiopian Airlines flight ET819 from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Maputo (Mozambique), 14 January 2015. At 5895 metres above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain of Africa. Located in Tanzania, it is also the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcanic mountain and has three volcanic cones - Kibo (the tallest at 5895 m), Mawenzi (3rd highest peak of Africa at 5148 m) and Shira (4005 m). Uhuru Peak is the highest point of Mt. Kilimanjaro and is situated on Kibo’s Cone. The plane was flying at over 10000 metres above sea level when I captured Mt. Kilimanjaro on my camera as seen in this film. Music Courtesy: YouTube Audio Library Artist: Doug Maxwell, Media Right Productions Title: A Good Day on African Planes Genre: Cinematic
