About Kilimanjaro:
Mount Kilimanjaro is actually a dormant volcano (don’t worry, its last major eruption was more than 360,000 years ago!) and is the highest mountain in Africa. You will find the highest free standing mountain in the world in the Kilimanjaro National Park, Tanzania (‘free standing’ meaning it is not part of a mountain range). It is made up of three volcanos; Shira, Mawnzi and Kibo. The Uhuru summit, located on the Kibo volcano, is the second closest point on the earth to the sun.
There are seven established routes to climb Kilimanjaro, and each route varies in length, difficulty and scenery.

followalice.com/adventure-trips/climb-kilimanjaro/Our carefully planned Kilimanjaro itinerary uses the Lemosho route. This is the newest route up the mountain and is favoured because of its beauty, remoteness and success rate. Think beautiful scenery, panoramic vistas, remote landscapes and varied terrain. The route has a great acclimatisation profile; featuring repeated ‘climb high sleep low’ opportunities, maximising the chances that our clients reach the summit and have an amazing overall experience.
Follow Alice to Kilimanjaro and embark on an amazing new adventure with friends from around the world.
