Gospel Singer Rose Muhando arrested for fraud allegations

Tanzanian Gospel singer Rose Muhando was arrested a few days ago for defrauding members of a church choir. The ‘kiatu kivue’ hit singer had allegedly received 37,000 Kenyan shillings through the chairman of A.I.C.T Singida church choir to attend the group’s album launch in November 2016 in Singida Dodoma
The two parties had previously agreed that she would attend the event and the organisers went even further to send her 6,900 ksh to cover her transport costs to the event. so the launch took place as scheduled on the 13th of November last year at Namfua Stadium and to their surprise, the singer was a no show despite their agreement. after her arrest Muhando told the police that she did in fact receive the money from the church choir and didn’t attend the launch as planned because if an illness at home but she added that she was ready and willing to refund the choir.
