Music in Uganda evolves with times. Music was at one time consumed in its ancient form, then the Congolese taste ruled but it would later compete with South African music in the 1980s. Jamaican artistes became a trend but not for long as some Ugandan artistes quickly learned to replicate their style locally. The end of the 90s went with the Congolese fame. The demand for Congolese music remained only mild as Ugandan music grew and rose through ranks. Congolese still record and perform music in Uganda. Today we trace the roots of Congolese Music in Uganda but as you will see later, this music is still closer to Ugandans Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Like our Facebook page www.facebook.com/NTVUganda
