Fulu Muziki became famous for making music on instruments made from objects found in Kinshasa dumps. The musicians who also planned to record an album got stranded in a studio in Kampala, as footage filmed on Wednesday shows. "During this lockdown, as a group we stay creative because we are the creators," said bandleader Pisko Crane. The band has made a song about COVID-19 as well as colourful masks for their performances. "To me personally there is no big problem in our daily lives because everyone understands the current situation and we have food to eat so all we do is just staying safe playing our musical instruments," added the bandleader.
