Congolese Woman is a song written and produced by American artist Gabriella Callender, a long time supporter of Congo and indigenous people around the world. In this song, she tells the story of hope and strength for Congolese women. Gabriella Callender is a singer, songwriter, poet and musical director of the all woman performance ensemble Mahina Movement. Gabriella grew up on the border of St. Albans and Hollis, Queens and is currently working on her first book of poems about addiction in America entitled, I Stay High.
